I need to use a warm mist humidifier in the winter climate I live in. This model was about as good as any I'd found and I used it daily in the winter well into my second season up till today. I filled the tank and the handle came off in my hand dropping the tank to the floor and breaking it. Water all over the place! The handle was only cheaply glued on. I'm really disappointed in the quality of the product AND without a humidifier. Not at all happy!!

ive owned 2 of these now. thinking one was a fluke and just leaked. the second one after 3 days started leaking out of the on off switch thing, just like the first one did. worst humidifire ive ever bought. took the first one back to walmart where i bought it and the customer sevice lady said she gets these returned all the time for the same problem.

FACT: AFTER 2 YEARS OF USES (WINTER MONTHS ONLY) HUMIDIFIER TURNS ITSELF OFF AFTER 5 MINUTES OF OPERATING. THIS IS THE SECOND HUMIDIFIER TO DO THIS.

I really do love this. Every time I get sick or if it's really dry I keep this running non stop until I'm feeling better or weather is less dry It really does a good job on the low setting. The only thing is when I pour the Vicks vapo steam into the spout it's rather difficult. I usually spill it down the chimney or get it on my hands. I understand it needs to be right in the middle for Ultimate effectiveness but I think it wold be a good idea if a small detachable (like vacuum accessories) funnel should be included. I went ahead an bought a tiny baby one but it makes it so much easier!

I have been running my humidifier for about 4 months almost non stop because of dry air in my house. The red light came on to tell me it could not steam up so I opened it to see if it needed cleaning and man was it a mess with calcium from city water. I cleaned it out and it was back to work right away. Its is super quiet, puts out great amounts of moisture (not them splatters of water) I would recommend for anyone to buy this unit, it doesn't cost a lot and its designed to be taken apart to clean out the calcium and gunk.

No filters = happiness. Easiest humidifier to maintain and effectively puts moisture into the air. It's been a great product.

the product itself is good, but this is the 2nd one we've had in the last 6 months because it accumulates so much hard scale on the heating element and we've got soft water. I clean the tank every week, but by the end of the week the bottom of the tank is covered in dark gray scum. We have another Vicks humdifier that does not do this. It just seems to be this model I would recommend a different model. Wont be getting this one again.

I bought two, one for each kid's room. The reset light comes on, we refill, and replace, and no water will come out of the valve,so the reset light does not go off. Didnt last very long but liked them while they worked.

Bought several of these for daily use through the dry winter. Within a week the first one broke. After a month all of them broke for the same reason.
The black rubber water value warps and breaks off. No where on the internet can you get a replacement. You have to order a new tank with the cap to fix it at $15 each. Pathetic!!

Before I got this humidifier I had small dry patches on my skin, I would wake up in the morning with the WORST dry mouth and painfully dry eyes. The first morning I woke up after using this I didn't even need a drink of water! I've used it for 4 nights now and my dry skin is starting to clear up. I was worried the light on it would be too bright but I don't even notice it, it's also super quiet, even on the high setting. It's awesome, thanks Vicks! :)

Like the product, but think it must be poor design, as it leaks all over the table durning the night. The over flow tank does not stop it from overflowing, could be come a hazard at night if you get up and slip on the water it drips on the floor. Needs a better system to stop the overflow...Hope Vicks corrects this soon.

This is a good humidifier. I really like having the option to add the vaposteam liquid. It produces an adequate amount of humidity for a small bedroom and helped my baby's nose congestion.
Problem is that the rubber valve in the bottom of the tank started peeling back within a few weeks and therefore the entire humidifier became inoperable because of the small faulty valve. Not been able to find a replacement in stores or online. Next time I plan to spend more money and buy a higher quality product that will last for at least a year.

It worked fine last winter. When I got it out this winter, I filled it up an plugged it in and all of the water leaked all over the floor.
It was stored very clean with the cap off and in my basement where it was climate controlled, so it must simply not be designed to last long.

I was skeptical at first to buy a warm mist humidifer because I have heard they are not as good as cool mist. But this is the best humidifier I have ever had.It works super well last all night 7:30pm-8:00am on high setting and produces just enough steam. It is super easy to clean. You can get to all parts including the heating source to make sure it is clean which is nice because we have such hard water. I just bought a second one for our own bedroom.

For something that is supposed to be quiet, this one keeps me up with so much gurgling. And the medicine cup feature does not work even with their recommended medicine. This is a total waste of money.

This work's all winter long in Maine in our Kit. , run good , but now after 4 1/2 years we need to get a Water Valve for it ,., hope that is the one it looking like it , same #'s on it just no light ,.,
Does a good job for us keep's the Moisture right wear we need it ,., we keep it on all the time on low , its good ,., run's 6 month's a year for us !
and the other best thing I ever gut new was my car , but Overall it is Excellent , it's the 2nd. best thing i have ,., thank you R+D+M+H

This is the worst money I have ever wasted on a vaporizer. For no reason every once in a while all the water in the container will drain out flooding the floor.
